Duration: 53 Minutes Number of Lessons: 11 Week 8 of 15 - Foundry Nuke From Zero to Hero! is the eighth course out of 15 in the zero to hero series by Sajjad Aradfar, designed to help you become a professional compositor. This Nuke visual effects training course will take you through the fundamental concepts of VFX Compositing in Nuke. Also, you will learn the steps of getting started working for major VFX companies. By the end of this mega course, you will successfully be able to do film compositing and stand as an experienced Nuke Artist. Throughout this week, we will be exploring 2 powerful nodes in Nuke. STMap and IDistort. These nodes are essential for achieving complex distortions, and creative effects directly within your compositing workflow. STMap is used to remap images based on source-to-target mapping. By the end of this week, you will understand what STMap is an introduction to the concept of STMap and its uses, applications of STMap, and practical examples such as correcting lens distortion, creating dreamy effects, simulating water or rivers, adding laggy motion, like bow and arrow fire, and generating TV noise, then we will go over IDistort node, which allows you to warp images based in UV channels or UV maps from another image. Creating effects such as heat distortion, smoke wisps, clouds, and unique effects like data moshing, tips, and techniques for achieving desired distortions and creative effects, effectively. Practical examples, and demonstrations on how IDistort node can be used to enhance your composits with dynamic distortions. There will be a lot of theory you need to learn first before you can successfully composite a shot, and with anything worth learning there is a learning curve. But if you persist through you will have a great payoff and skillset at the end, and a great shot to show off that you created!
